Martin at the desk at Two Dogs Sound Studio - Devonport

Back in the 80’s Martin was playing in bands. With a Tascam Portastudio in his bedroom in Doncaster UK, he had dreams of the big time. Music was always a passion and still is; he plays guitar, drums and bass.

He trained in Instrumentation and Control Systems, though not the musical kind. A career in industry from Power Stations, North Sea Oil platforms and the Car industry, transitioning into IT as a Software Engineer in New Zealand in the late 90’s.

He reignited his passion for music production, setting up a digital studio originally to record his drums. This hobby became an obsession, building his equipment and expertise over the last 10 years. He commercialised Two Dogs Sound Studio in Devonport in 2017. Since then he has recorded and mixed many artists from singer songwriters to rock bands, voice overs and audio books. Two Dogs as a label was formed so that artists could get access to the recording facilities without having to pay up front.
